This is a great beach to take the kids to. It's beautiful, easy, and there is a snack bar there too.
You'll have to pay for parking, but it's pretty cheap. An added benefit is that there is a person in the parking lot watching over the cars.
Getting To the Beach
It's pretty easy to get to the beach. The parking lot is basically a grassy area. Then there's a long wooden beach walk to get down to the beach. The beach walk basically ends at the snack bar. Then all you have to do is find a place to set up camp.
As you come off the board walk, you'll hit the first beach. The beach is relatively sandy. The kids don't seem to mind it, but there are little stones in the water. If you have water shoes, I would wear them.
There is a second beach that you can hike to here. You'll have to walk along with right hand side of the first beach, along the rocks.
Last Bit of Adivce
Stop the car and roll down the windows after you turn off the main road to get to this beach. The grasshoppers are extremely loud. It's really nice to hear.
